Texas Tech ASID Student Chapter 2009 Expo Thank You Notes

Outside

Inside Message

I was so excited when I was contacted about possibly creating the thank you notes for the Interior Design department's student chapter of ASID at Texas Tech University. They need the note cards for their upcoming Expo gift baskets for the wonderful companies that participate and sponser the event for the students. I remember attending the Expo myself all those years while I was in college working on my Interior Design degree, which I earned my BID in 2004. I had one true, blue buddy I attended Expo with most of the time and her name is Kami (Betts) Slaback. We would go from table to table together talking to each vendor that came and each time we would get excited about the goodies they gave us. It was always loads of fun and a great learning experience. One piece of advice I would give anyone now attending....Network! I did not do that when I attended and I wish I had not been so shy. Thanks Gina for inviting me to the luncheon and Expo!

NEW Halloween Items Available NOW

MuHahAaAAaa!!!!!! I simply adore Halloween! It is so fun to work with! So many creative things happen...kinda gets out of control actually. There some more things that I don't have posted (maybe later when they are finalized). The stationary for 2009 is named after one of my best friends Kara. I love her dearly! My other best friend, Vanessa, has a design named after her, but that will be introduced this coming month. There is so much I love about the recipe card....the magical hand to the crow to the orange pattern (LOVE!). Then I have a love affair with anything vintage! I admire the artist of that time period...most of the illustrations are from the late 1800s to early 1900s. Crazy, but yes that is when they were created! I can never decide what illustrations I am going to work with each time. I each and everyone of you enjoy all the new things! I have worked hard on getting it all ready. Thanks for looking!!!

Terry is one of my very good friends and I was estatic when he called to tell me that he was engaged. He asked me if I would do his and Wendy's Save the Date announcements and wedding invitations. Of course!!! I have been friends with Terry since Junior High and he is one special man. Wendy is very lucky to have nabbed him. This is just the start down the road to their wedding. There will be more to come later.

This is the second detail of Kristi's and Brandon's wedding. They loved the wedding invitation that I did for Michael and Kailey (Bennett) Campbell that they wanted it, too. It worked out because Kristi was using the same Pool Blue. I posted several weeks ago their Save the Date Postcards that they chose. They wedding is fast approaching and I know they are getting so excited! We still have several projects lined up...bookmarks and programs.

Renae Herrley Growth Chart

Renae talked to me about doing a growth chart for her little girl, Audry. I had never done a growth chart before, but I thought this would be a great challenge. I had a great time doing this project and I really hope that Renae likes what I have come up with.
